If it’s a cloudy day and you can’t see a seagull, here are more detailed directions to The Arundel Barn Playhouse.

From the south on Route 95 (from Boston, Portsmouth, etc.):  Follow Route 95 into Maine to the Kennebunk exit.  Follow the exit until you see signs for Route 1 North.  Follow Route 1 North through downtown Kennebunk past the town hall, the banks, the library, etc.  Still on Route 1 North after town, you will pass through two traffic lights.  At the third light at the intersection with the Mann Memorial Veterinary Clinic and the Arundel Market, take a right on River Road  Go down one block and you will see the Playhouse parking lot.

From the south on Route 1 (from York, Kittery, Wells, Ogunquit: Follow Route 1 North through the town of Kennebunk past the banks, the library and town hall.  Still on Route 1 North after town, you will pass through two lights.  At the third light on the intersection with the Mann Memorial Veterinary Clinic and the Arundel Market, take a right on River Road.  Go down one block and you will see the Playhouse parking lot.

From the north on Route 95 (from Portland, etc.):  Follow Route 95 to the Biddeford exit.  Go directly across Route 111 (which is immediately after the exit) heading to Route 1 South.  Go right or South on Route 1, continue through one traffic light (this intersection is antique/flea market heaven) to the second light.  Take a  left on River Rd just past the Seafood Center Restaurant  Go down one block and you will see the Playhouse parking lot.

From the north on Route 1 (from Scarborough, Saco, Biddeford, Portland, etc.):  Just south of the town of Biddeford is the town of Arundel.  You will pass through one traffic light where Arundel Antiques and USA Antiques are located.  Continue on to the next traffic light.  Take a left on River Rd just past the Seafood Center Restaurant.  Go down one block and you will see the Playhouse parking lot.

From Kennebunkport:  Follow North Street out of downtown Kennebunkport.  Just past Patten’s Berry Farm, take a left on  River Road.  You will pass the Cape Arundel Golf Course on your left.  Continue straight ahead.  You will pass The Boatbuilding School and The Bassett’s “oreo” cow farm on your right.  Continue straight ahead.  Just one block before you hit Route 1, there’s the Playhouse!

From Lower Village, Kennebunk:  Follow Route 35 (Summer Street) out of Lower Village past the beautiful captains’ houses along the route.  When you reach the Kennebunk Fire Station and Town Hall on the left, the Police Station on your right, you are at the intersection of Route 1.  Go right or North on Route 1.  At the third traffic light on the intersection with the Mann Memorial Veterinary Clinic and the Arundel Market, take a right on River Rd.  Go down one block and you will see the Playhouse parking lot.

NOTE: If you parking for a performance, the parking lot entrance is on River Road.  If you are headed to the Box Office (15 minute parking) or for Handicapped Parking only, take a left on Old Post Road,  pass the front of the Playhouse and there you are.
